Best location! This hostel is situated in a prime spot, only a short walk away from the beach and local attractions. It was amazing to have such easy access to everything we wanted to see and do during our romantic escape. Another great aspect was the free chocolate cake and ice cream offered in the evenings. It was a sweet treat to end the day on a delicious note. the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, providing us with useful information about the area and making us feel welcome.
Worst night's sleep. the noise outside our room was unbearable.

We were very pleaseantly surprised by our private room with ensuite wet room, tremendous value for money and very comfortable. The centre's kitchen was well provisioned, very clean and eco friendly. We got a warm welcome from the staff, who couldn't have been more helpful or friendly....and the free chocolate pudding with ice cream each evening was just the icing on the cake, excuse the pun!!

The best hostel in the South Island! Staff was very helpful and nice. I slept in a six bed dorm and it was the most comfortable this far: enough space and plugs, clean, the bed was really good and it wasn't too hot or cold. Showers and toilets were also clean. Kitchen was ok, maybe a bit little. Free bikes is a big plus. AMAZING free chocolate pudding and ice cream every evening is already enough good reason to stay. I was surprised about location, I thought the hostel is far away but it was actually quite close to city centre and i-site, just a couple of minutes easy walk!
Food recycling bin was outside that I found slightly weird. At the other hand, it might cause a bad smell in kitchen.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. the attention to detail was impressive - from the well-maintained shared facilities to the cozy rooms with fireplaces and private bathrooms. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay, providing excellent service and helpful advice for exploring the local area. The location in a quiet neighborhood was a major plus, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep and a relaxing ambiance. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast provided, a perfect way to start the day.
All in all, my stay at this hotel was perfect.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel in. The attention to detail was excellent, with little notes and funnies throughout the rooms and bathrooms. The shared facilities were kept extremely clean, which was a big plus. Additionally, the staff were helpful without us having to ask for anything.
All was just fine, no complaints here.

The noise of other guests slamming doors and walking on the floor above mine, with shoes on, the construction of this property is not at all sound proofed for such.

The hostel is conveniently located near the city center, but not too close to be disturbed by the noise from nearby restaurants and bars. the lounge is a great place to relax and meet other travelers, with free dessert every night. the hostel provides guitars and a piano with headphones to play.
The noise from other guests can be disruptive, especially late into the night.
